Last Few Days for Popcorn Sales

Hey all you show and sellers, thank you for another great weekend! $4275 this weekend for a grand total of $22,050 for the 5 week campaign. We smashed our goal and still have online and take order forms to add to it! Den totals after show and sells are as follows:

Tigers $4320

Wolves $7947.50

Bears $4640

Webelos $3897.50

Arrow of Light $1245

The wolves have extended their lead but great job by everybody. We had 36 different scouts participate, so almost all of our scouts did at least one period. Big thank you from your "Kernel's”. We averaged just over $500 per 2 hour sale which is awesome!!!

The entire Pack will celebrate this great achievement with an epic pizza party…more details to come.

It’s like five nights of trick-or-treating in a row! Games and activities are fun for the whole family - especially elementary grades and younger. University of Scouting!

Registration is now open!! Every year, BSA hosts a full day training event called the University of Scouting. This year, it will be held on October 29th from 7am - 5pm at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Bldg., in Highlands Ranch. This is a terrific opportunity for leaders - as well as any adult - to receive training on a wide variety of Scout related topics, such as outdoor cooking, Den discipline, Den games, knot tying, outdoor leadership training, and SO much more. If you are interested in attending, visit this link.

November’s Pack Meeting

Dads (or uncles, big brothers, grandpas...) and Lads... get your CAKE on!! It's time for our annual Dad & Lad Cake Bake! Get creative and bring your best delicacy to the Pack Meeting! It does not have to be a cake - brownies, cupcakes, etc. are all acceptable, but please respect our host church's NO NUT POLICY. All cakes will be judged by Den (including a sibling class) on the following categories:

Most Original

Best Looking

Best Scouting Theme

In addition, this is the month where we will be giving out Pinewood Derby kits to scouts and siblings in exchange for TWO CANNED GOODS to support our local food banks. And finally, our top five popcorn sellers will be choosing their adult "victim" to take a pie in the face! Be afraid... be very afraid!

2016 Conifer Holiday Parade

Mark your calendars, the 2016 Conifer Holiday Parade is around the corner. December 3rd. Last year we rose to the challenge with a Star Wars theme, this year we need help with a theme for a Rocky Mountain Christmas. If you are interested in helping organize the scout’s involvement in the event, please let a leader know.

December Pack Meeting

As in years past, our December Pack Meeting will take place at Elk Run Senior Center in Evergreen where we traditionally call BINGO for their residents. This is always a fun event and the residents love it! More details to come.

Pack Positions Available—Secretary, Treasurer & Event Coordinator

If you’re looking for a special way to get involved with scouts… we currently have openings for a Pack Secretary, Treasurer and Event Coordinator. If you are interested in more details about any of these positions, please talk to Lloyd Kitchner for more details. We’d love to have you on our leadership team!

Class A Uniforms

Remember that your Scouts can wear their Class A uniforms to school on days when they will be meeting as a Den or a Pack. This helps show pride in the Scouting organization, and helps other kids gain interest. Please be sure your Scout wears his uniform properly. This means the shirt should be clean, ironed and tucked in. To help them understand why this is important, perhaps you can draw an analogy of what their thoughts might be if .they were to see a police officer with his/her uniform shirt untucked. Or a business man (perhaps even their dad) going to a business meeting with his dress shirt untucked. Encourage them to proudly wear their Scout uniform and positively represent our Pack!

Class B Uniforms & Pack 39 Patches

Class B shirts will be available at Pack Meetings for $15 each. We have an assortment of kids and adult sizes. We received a new shipment of small and medium sizes! In addition, we have exclusive "Pack 39" patches for $3 each. Please see a Den Leader or our Treasurer (Ellen Williams) at the next Pack meeting if you'd like to purchase any of these items.

If you purchased a Class B t-shirt that was the wrong size, you may exchange it (if not previously worn or washed) at the next meeting.
