Popcorn Prizes Our hard-working Popcorn Kernels want to say "GREAT JOB!" to everyone who participated in our popcorn drive this year! They will be giving an update at the next Pack Meeting (Oct 27th) on our total sales and the top sellers. In the meantime, the Kernels are needing all Scouts to make their Prize Selections!! Please refer to THIS LINK to view the prize categories and have your son(s) make their selections. John Hansen needs their choices by October 27th (at the Pack Meeting). If you will not be attending the meeting, please send those selections to John at hansenc40@aol.com. John will be individually contacting the Scouts who sold over $1,000 to discuss the other special prizes they have earned. If you have any questions at all, please contact John at the email above.

October Pack Meeting

At our October Pack Meeting next week (Oct 27th), we will be conducting our Bobcat Ceremony for all new Scouts. We will also have our annual carved pumpkin contest! Please bring an already decorated and/or carved pumpkin to the meeting! (No guns or weapons in your decorations, please) Each Den will be judged independently using these three judging categories: Most Original, Scariest, and Funniest. Siblings are welcome to participate and will be in a separate class of their own.

Webelos Welcome Night at Troop 737

For all of our Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts, this is an excellent opportunity to visit Troop 737 and see what they're all about. Join them on Monday, October 26th from 6:30-8:00pm at Evergreen Lutheran Church. The Boy Scouts will be demonstrating some fire starting skills and cooking some tasty treats (ever heard of a smaco?!). There will be a separate presentation for the parents of prospective Scouts.

University of Scouting

Registration is now open!! Every year, BSA hosts a full day training event called the University of Scouting. This year, it will be held on October 24th from 7:30am - 4:00pm at Red Rocks Community College in Lakewood. This is a terrific opportunity for leaders - as well as any adult - to receive training on a wide variety of Scout related topics, such as outdoor cooking, Den discipline, Den games, knot tying, outdoor leadership training, and SO much more. If you are interested in attending, visit this link.

Youth Protection Training

Have you taken your YPT yet? It is recommended for any adult within the Pack to take this training, but ALL of our Leaders and volunteers are required to have a valid YPT certificate every 2 years. This training is super easy to take - just 30 minutes online at your convenience. It is very beneficial to parents as well as Scout leaders as it shows you what steps the BSA takes toward protecting our youth. Visit this link to take yours, and then forward your certificate to me at the end so I can log your completion.

Class B Uniforms & Pack 39 Patches

If you or your Scout still needs a Class B T-shirt ($15) or a Pack 39 patch ($3), they will continue to be available at our Pack Meetings.
