September’s Pack Meeting

At our September Pack Meeting (Sept 27) we will celebrate the achievements of our new scouts with the Bobcat Ceremony. These new scouts have been busy learning the scout oath, law, sign, handshake, and motto. Please join us in celebrating them in a symbolic ceremony. After the ceremony, each den will continue and finalize their den flags. These flags will be designed and started during the next den meeting.

October’s Pack Meeting

At our October Pack Meeting (Oct 25), we will have our annual carved pumpkin contest! Please bring an already decorated and/or carved pumpkin to the meeting! (no guns or weapons in your decorations, please). Judging categories will be announced closer to the meeting. Siblings are welcome to participate and will be in a separate class of their own.

Corn Maze Activity

It’s time for a Pack outing! Please join us the third Saturday in October for an outing to the Corn Maze. More details to come, but be assured it will be fun and memorable for all our scouts. Scouts admission will be FREE!

Popcorn, Popcorn and more Popcorn! UPDATES

We are doing very well with our popcorn sales – only one week in and we’ve sold over $5,000 in Show & Sell sales so far … keep up the great work!! The proceeds that our Pack earns from popcorn sales help us pay for things like handbooks, patches/awards, Pack Meeting entertainment, prizes, etc. Our pack goal is $20,000. If your scout reaches $600 in sales, their Pack dues will be $0.00 when re-charter comes around! Plus, the kids can earn terrific prizes!!!

Here are the current status of sales (Show and Sells) by Den:

Bears $2025 Webelos $1675 Wolves $547.5 Tigers $500. Arrow of Light $0

None of these show and sell sales would be possible without the help of these fine dads who brought up the supply of popcorn. Thank you John Hansen, John Pritchard, Michael Blanton, Tristan Wardell, and Tyler Albritton.

We’re one week into popcorn sales and we only have 16 slots left open!!! Take a moment and sign your Scout up! Popcorn Sign-ups Note: the signups have room for 2 scouts per timeslot. If there are leftover spots a week prior to the assigned sale time, all scouts are eligible to participate at that time.

Please remind your boys that not only are they guests of these businesses while they are there, but they represent the Pack as a whole and need to be on their best behavior.

Class A Uniforms

Remember that your Scouts can wear their Class A uniforms to school on days when they will be meeting as a Den or a Pack. This helps show pride in the Scouting organization, and helps other kids gain interest. Please be sure your Scout wears his uniform properly. This means the shirt should be clean, ironed and tucked in. To help them understand why this is important, perhaps you can draw an analogy of what their thoughts might be if .they were to see a police officer with his/her uniform shirt untucked. Or a business man (perhaps even their dad) going to a business meeting with his dress shirt untucked. Encourage them to proudly wear their Scout uniform and positively represent our Pack!

Class B Uniforms & Pack 39 Patches

Class B shirts will be available at Pack Meetings for $15 each. We have an assortment of kids and adult sizes. We received a new shipment of small and medium sizes! In addition, we have exclusive "Pack 39" patches for $3 each. Please see a Den Leader or our Treasurer (Ellen Williams) at the next Pack meeting if you'd like to purchase any of these items.

If you purchased a Class B t-shirt that was the wrong size, you may exchange it (if not previously worn or washed) at the next meeting.
