Popcorn Update We have sold over $10,000 at our Show & Sells alone!! There is only one weekend left to sell and we have 4 spots that need to be filled for this Sunday (10/4). Use the link below to claim your last opportunity - let's finish strong!!

Popcorn Show & Sell Sign Up: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0e49acab2da4fb6-popcorn

Please call one of our Popcorn Kernels (John Hansen at 303-520-3826 or Jen Allbritton at 303-513-3733) the day before your sale to arrange popcorn and supply pickup. If you find that you have to cancel your show & sell spot within 24 hours of your shift, please call one of the Kernels to let them know so a replacement Scout can be found (the Kernel's numbers are below).

Please DO NOT FORGET to get your order forms turned in to your Leader at the Den Meetings on Oct 6th. As an alternative, you can email a copy of your order form to John Hansen at hansenc40@aol.com no later than Oct. 8th. Money is not due until November 17th. Refer to our website for more information - INCLUDING a current status of sales by Den.

October Pack Meeting

Just a reminder that at our next Pack Meeting, we will have our annual carved pumpkin contest! Please bring an already carved/decorated pumpkin to the meeting! There will be tables set up for each Den to place their creations. (no guns or weapons, please) Judging categories will be announced by next week.

Aspen Ridge "RidgeFest" Event

A huge thank you to Lloyd Kitchner, our Wolf Den Leader, and his wife, Karen, for heading up our recruiting efforts at the RidgeFest on Saturday! Thank you also to Dave Larson, Joy Retherford, and Kirsten Pulioff who stepped up to help him! I've been told that the Knock Hockey box was a hit and there were several boys interested in our Pack.

Annual Corn MazeIt's getting late, folks. If we want to have a fall event, we need someone to step up to coordinate it! Please let me know if you'd like to do this - it just involves researching area corn mazes (or other fall festival-type events), finding out group costs, choosing a date, and relaying the information to me so I can get the word out where everyone can meet. Not a hard job.

Career Night

Thank you to the parents who have expressed interest in participating in an upcoming Career Night! So far, we have a pilot, a smokejumper, an FBI agent, and a flight nurse! If you (or someone you know) have a particularly exciting job and would be interested in sharing some details with our Scouts at an upcoming Pack Meeting (5-7 minute presentation), please reply and let me know! This event will not take place until after the holidays.

Youth Protection Training

Have you taken your YPT yet? It is recommended for any adult within the Pack to take this training, but ALL of our Leaders and volunteers are required to have a valid YPT certificate every 2 years. This training is super easy to take - just 30 minutes online at your convenience. It is very beneficial to parents as well as Scout leaders as it shows you what steps the BSA takes toward protecting our youth. Visit this link to take yours, and then forward your certificate to me at the end so I can log your completion.

University of Scouting

Registration is now open!! I spoke about this at the Pack Meeting. Every year, BSA hosts a full day training event called the University of Scouting. This year, it will be held on October 24th from 7:30am - 4:00pm at Red Rocks Community College in Lakewood. This is a terrific opportunity for leaders - as well as any adult - to receive training on a wide variety of Scout related topics, such as outdoor cooking, Den discipline, Den games, knot tying, outdoor leadership training, and SO much more. If you are interested in attending, visit this link.

Class B Uniforms & Pack 39 Patches

If you or your Scout still needs a Class B T-shirt ($15) or a Pack 39 patch ($3), they will continue to be available at our Pack Meetings.
