University of Scouting
This fantastic training event will be held on October 25, from 8am-4pm at Red Rocks Community College. The cost is $35 and there are MANY classes to choose from, such as knot tying, outdoor camping, planning a great Den meeting, Scout safety... etc!! This is not just for Scout Leaders - if you are a parent who wants to get more involved in our Pack, please consider attending this event ...oh, and Daycare is available!! Click here to sign up.
Corn Maze Outing! - DATE SET for October 18th (morning)
Last year, we visited a Corn Maze and had a blast! So, we're going to do it again! This is an OPTIONAL family pack-wide event, but it's a lot of fun and a great way to visit with some other Pack 39 families. We encourage you to put it on your calendar. Keep watching these Scout Posts for more information as it becomes available.
Next Pack Meeting - October 28 from 7:00 - 8:00pm - PUMPKIN CARVING!
This will be our annual Pumpkin Carving meeting! All Scouts are encouraged to start thinking of their greatest/craziest/silliest pumpkin characters in preparation for the judging! In addition, we will have our official Bobcat ceremony for all of our Tigers and any other boys new to Scouting.
Popcorn Sales - Keep 'em coming!
Although the store-front sales are done, you can certainly still collect online and/or in-person orders!! Orders are due on October 19th - Den Leaders, please coordinate with your Dens so you can collect all forms and turn them in to our Popcorn Kernel, Jenny Rundle by the 19th. Money is not due until delivery. Popcorn will be available for pickup on November 3rd. Remember, if your son sells $325 in popcorn, his yearly recharter dues in February will be PAID for! Pack 39 Patches
If you would like to have one of our new Pack 39 patches, please respond to this e-mail or pick one up at the next Pack meeting. They are $3 each. This is one single patch (instead of a separate "3" and "9") which is easier to sew onto the uniforms and it also commemorates the 55 years that Pack 39 has existed.
Upcoming Dates:
Tuesday, October 7th - Aspen Ridge reserved for Den Meetings. Check with your Den Leader to see if your Den is meeting.
Tuesday, October 14th, 7:00-8:30pm - Committee Meeting for Leaders & parents. Anyone is welcome to attend and help us plan and run a great Pack! Reply to this e-mail for the location as it changes monthly.
Saturday morning, October 18th - Corn Maze outing. Stay tuned for details as they unfold.
Sunday, October 19th - LAST day to turn in popcorn order forms. Please get them to your Den Leader prior to this date.
Tuesday, October 21st - Aspen Ridge reserved for Den Meetings. Check with your Den Leader to see if your Den is meeting.
Tuesday, October 28th, 7:00-8:00pm - Pack Meeting at Aspen Ridge Church. Pumpkin carving and Bobcat ceremony.
