News from the Pack

Marshdale's Back-to-School Ice Cream SocialPack 39 will have a booth at Marshdale's Back-to-School Ice Cream Social on Wednesday August 15th from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. We would love it if some of the Scouts could wear their full Class A uniform or at least their Class B shirts to the event. Have the Scouts encourage their friends to join scouts and bring them by the table to hang out for a bit and play a little Hockey Box!

This year marks some exciting changes to the scouting program. This year we will be recruiting Kindergarteners for our Lions Den, and opening membership to girls to create a family scouting environment.

Pack Meeting/Join NightAbracadabra! Our first Pack Meeting of the year is already here! It will be on Tuesday, August 28th, starting at 6:45 PM (please note the earlier start time). This is our annual "Join Night," where we will have a magician entertaining the kids so the Leaders can meet with any new families and answer questions. If you know of friends/family who would enjoy our Scouting program, encourage them to attend this meeting.

Scouts is more than just an activity, it’s an opportunity to grow, learn, serve, make new friends, and have FUN! Our annual events include visits to the corn maze, pumpkin carving, nights of swimming & rock climbing, magic, ice skating, camping, carnival fun, derby races, and more…

Popcorn

It’s never too early to think about popcorn. As is the case every year, popcorn sales begin soon after the school year does. Show & Sells will begin in September, and a sign-up link will be provided soon. Remember that if you meet the minimum popcorn sales goal, you won't have to pay any Scout dues at re-charter time! Sell $1000 and enjoy a Bronco’s experience. Sell more and receive a scholarship… The list of prizes goes on.

Youth Protection Training

We take our scouts’ safety seriously. True youth protection can be achieved only through the focused commitment of everyone in Scouting. It is the mission of Youth Protection volunteers and professionals to work within the Boy Scouts of America to maintain a culture of Youth Protection awareness and safety at the national, regional, area, council, district, and unit levels.

More information and links to this training are located HERE.
