Pack Meeting/Join Night—August 29thOur first Pack Meeting of the year will be on Tuesday, August 29th, starting at 6:45 PM (please note the earlier start time). This is our annual "Join Night," where we will have entertainment for the boys so the Leaders can meet with any new families and answer questions. If you know of friends/family who would enjoy our Scouting program, encourage them to attend this meeting. This year the Reptile Man will entertain our scouts with slithering animals, fascinating facts, and creepy crawly creatures.

Scouts is more than just an activity, it’s an opportunity to grow, learn, serve, make new friends, and have FUN! Our annual events include visits to the corn maze, pumpkin carving, nights of swimming & rock climbing, magic, ice skating, camping, carnival fun, derby races, and more…

PopcornIt’s never too early to think about popcorn. As is the case every year, popcorn sales begin soon after the school year does. Show & Sells will begin in September, and a sign-up link will be provided soon. Remember that if you meet the minimum popcorn sales goal, you won't have to pay any Scout dues at re-charter time! Sell $1000 and enjoy a Bronco’s experience. Sell more and receive a scholarship… The list of prizes goes on. Last year we were Colorado’s State Popcorn Champion!!! Let’s continue that tradition.

Our Popcorn Kernel, John Hansen, and his new Co-Kernel, Ari Greenberg, will be sharing some information with us at the pack meeting. We’re still looking for a few assistant kernels to help out at the den and pack level.

RidgeFest

We will once again be represented at the 5th Annual “RidgeFest” at the ARC. This event features incredible vendors, arts and crafts, and fun for the entire family. There are hay rides, a carnival games for all ages, bounce house, food and LIVE entertainment during the event! Click here for more details!

Youth Protection TrainingWe take our scouts’ safety seriously. True youth protection can be achieved only through the focused commitment of everyone in Scouting. It is the mission of Youth Protection volunteers and professionals to work within the Boy Scouts of America to maintain a culture of Youth Protection awareness and safety at the national, regional, area, council, district, and unit levels.

More information and links to this training are located HERE.

Class A Uniforms

Remember that your Scouts can wear their Class A uniforms to school on days when they will be meeting as a Den or a Pack. This helps show pride in the Scouting organization, and helps other kids gain interest. Please be sure your Scout wears his uniform properly. This means the shirt should be clean, ironed and tucked in. To help them understand why this is important, perhaps you can draw an analogy of what their thoughts might be if .they were to see a police officer with his/her uniform shirt untucked. Or a business man (perhaps even their dad) going to a business meeting with his dress shirt untucked. Encourage them to proudly wear their Scout uniform and positively represent our Pack!

Class B Uniforms & Pack 39 Patches

Class B shirts will be available at Pack Meetings for $15 each. We have an assortment of kids and adult sizes. In addition, we have exclusive "Pack 39" patches for $3 each. Please see a Den Leader or our Treasurer at the next Pack meeting if you'd like to purchase any of these items.
