Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Sleepover! RSVP Deadline Feb 20th Lions, and Tigers, and Bears, Oh my! Please join us for an exciting sleepover event at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs. It starts at 6pm, Saturday and end at 8 am on Sunday with zoo admission on Sunday. Scouts and a parent will be paid for by the Pack, siblings will be an additional $55.75. It is for ages 5+. More details and RSVP here. The final day to RSVP or change your RSVP is February 20th. Once we confirm our number of participates, we will not have an option for refunds. If your plans change and you need to cancel your RSVP after Tuesday, February 20th then you will have to pay for the total amount you rsvp’d for. We will send out a list of families who have RSVP’d next newsletter.

Pre-payment is encouraged! Christina will be collecting money and waivers at the upcoming den meetings and pack meeting in February. Save yourself some time and pre-pay.

Blue and Gold CeremonyFebruary’s Pack meeting will be a special evening! Our Arrow of Light scouts will take their final steps as Cub Scouts and cross over to Boy Scouts. This special ceremony represents many years of hard work on the part of these boys and we hope that all of you can attend and play a part in making this ceremony as special as possible for them. It’s hard to believe, but your boys as well will likely be a part of this ceremony in the years to follow too.

The evening will begin at 6:30 PM and dinner will be included at no cost for our scouts and scout leaders, and we would ask for $5 donation from all others

February Recharter

Our annual Recharter happens every year in February. In 2019 the calendar year will be adjusted this means, this year’s dues will be prorated for 10 months. Your den leaders will be sharing with you a spreadsheet that shows the amount your family owes for 2018 dues. These amounts include district dues as well as Pack dues.

Those that met the popcorn selling goal of $650 will not owe anything (unless they want Boys Life). Those that sold SOME popcorn will pay a percentage of the $150. Those that did not sell any popcorn will cover the entire amount.

Please bring your checkbook to the Feb 20th den meetings to take care of any dues.

Youth Protection Training

We take our scouts’ safety seriously. True youth protection can be achieved only through the focused commitment of everyone in Scouting. It is the mission of Youth Protection volunteers and professionals to work within the Boy Scouts of America to maintain a culture of Youth Protection awareness and safety at the national, regional, area, council, district, and unit levels.

More information and links to this training are located HERE.

Class A Uniforms

Remember that your Scouts can wear their Class A uniforms to school on days when they will be meeting as a Den or a Pack. This helps show pride in the Scouting organization, and helps other kids gain interest. Please be sure your Scout wears his uniform properly. This means the shirt should be clean, ironed and tucked in. To help them understand why this is important, perhaps you can draw an analogy of what their thoughts might be if .they were to see a police officer with his/her uniform shirt untucked. Or a business man (perhaps even their dad) going to a business meeting with his dress shirt untucked. Encourage them to proudly wear their Scout uniform and positively represent our Pack!

Class B Uniforms & Pack 39 Patches

Class B shirts will be available at Pack Meetings for $15 each. We have an assortment of kids and adult sizes. In addition, we have exclusive "Pack 39" patches for $3 each. Please see a Den Leader or our Treasurer at the next Pack meeting if you'd like to purchase any of these items.
