Weekly Scout Post--January 2, 2017

Happy New Year, Pack 39! Hoping that everyone has had a tremendous holiday season and that you are ready to get back into the school routine next week! Skate Night 2017

Skate Night is still on! The lake anticipates opening like planned tomorrow evening. Please join us for a FUN night of skating on the lake, Tuesday, January 3^rd, 6-8 pm. In honor of the amazing job the scouts did selling popcorn, this will be a Pack sponsored event (no charge for your scout). We will have our own dedicated warming hut and rink. Do not miss out on this wonderful event!!!

Show up at 5:30 to buy tickets from the cub scout table and canopy that will be set up in front of the lake house, rent skates and enjoy the private warming hut. Skating will begin at 6 pm.

Pine Wood DerbyStart your engines…Our annual Pinewood Derby is coming up F-A-S-T! It will be held on Saturday, January 28th. ALL cars MUST be checked in and weighed on Friday evening, January 27th between 6:00 & 8:00pm. If your car is not checked in during this time, it cannot participate in the race.We will be having a Derby Workshop on Saturday, January 14th at Aspen Ridge Church (downstairs fellowship hall near the windows). If you need assistance completing your car, come on by - there are lots of hands to help. For complete rules and information, be sure to check the Pinewood Derby link on our website.

2017 Recharter is Almost Here

Just a heads up that our annual Recharter is almost upon us. We are finalizing numbers (dues amounts and popcorn contributions) and will let you know your amount due in the next couple of weeks. Each Den will need to have one parent responsible for collecting Recharter forms and dues from your Den. If you are interested in this role, please speak with your Den Leader.

Class B Uniforms & Pack 39 Patches

Class B shirts will be available at Pack Meetings for $15 each. We have an assortment of kids and adult sizes. We received a new shipment of small and medium sizes! In addition, we have exclusive "Pack 39" patches for $3 each. Please see a Den Leader or our Treasurer at the next Pack meeting if you'd like to purchase any of these items.

If you purchased a Class B t-shirt that was the wrong size, you may exchange it (if not previously worn or washed) at the next meeting.
