· Workshop: Saturday, January 20th at Aspen Ridge Church (downstairs fellowship hall near the windows). If you need assistance completing your car, come on by - there are lots of hands to help.

· Weigh In: ALL cars MUST be checked in and weighed on Friday evening, January 26th between 6:00 & 8:00pm. If your car is not checked in during this time, it cannot participate in the race.

· Race Day: Saturday, January 27th.

There will be three races: The Scout Race, Siblings Race, and Adult Race. We will also have the Ladies Derby hat contest. Show up ready to compete and celebrate.

Parents must stay at the event, but do not have to sled. Please dress appropriately and bring helmets for safety. Plan on arriving around 1 pm to allow ample time for parking, check in, and waivers. Be early or on time, event check-in will close at 2:15 so everyone can enjoy the event.

February Recharter

Our annual Recharter happens every year in February. In 2019 the calendar year will be adjusted this means, this year’s dues will be prorated for 10 months. Your den leaders will be sharing with you a spreadsheet that shows the amount your family owes for 2018 dues. These amounts include district dues as well as Pack dues.

Those that met the popcorn selling goal of $650 will not owe anything (unless they want Boys Life). Those that sold SOME popcorn will pay a percentage of the $150. Those that did not sell any popcorn will cover the entire amount.

February Pack Meeting - Arrow of Light and Blue and Gold CeremonyFebruary’s Pack meeting will be a special evening! Our Arrow of Light scouts will take their final steps as Cub Scouts and cross over to Boy Scouts. This special ceremony represents many years of hard work on the part of these boys and we hope that all of you can attend and play a part in making this ceremony as special as possible for them. It’s hard to believe, but your boys as well will likely be a part of this ceremony in the years to follow too.

The evening will begin at 6:30 PM and dinner will be included at no cost for our scouts and scout leaders, and we would ask for $5 donation from all others

We take our scouts’ safety seriously. True youth protection can be achieved only through the focused commitment of everyone in Scouting. It is the mission of Youth Protection volunteers and professionals to work within the Boy Scouts of America to maintain a culture of Youth Protection awareness and safety at the national, regional, area, council, district, and unit levels.

More information and links to this training are located HERE.

Class A Uniforms

Remember that your Scouts can wear their Class A uniforms to school on days when they will be meeting as a Den or a Pack. This helps show pride in the Scouting organization, and helps other kids gain interest. Please be sure your Scout wears his uniform properly. This means the shirt should be clean, ironed and tucked in. To help them understand why this is important, perhaps you can draw an analogy of what their thoughts might be if .they were to see a police officer with his/her uniform shirt untucked. Or a business man (perhaps even their dad) going to a business meeting with his dress shirt untucked. Encourage them to proudly wear their Scout uniform and positively represent our Pack!

Class B Uniforms & Pack 39 Patches

Class B shirts will be available at Pack Meetings for $15 each. We have an assortment of kids and adult sizes. In addition, we have exclusive "Pack 39" patches for $3 each. Please see a Den Leader or our Treasurer at the next Pack meeting if you'd like to purchase any of these items.
