Pack 39 Camp out- Wellington Lake detailsTime and Location: Pack 39 may use the “Scout Camp” at Wellington Lake, Bailey, CO from 6am Friday, May 12 through 9pm Sunday May 14. Families may arrive anytime during that timeframe. However, the majority of the Pack leaders will arrive for setup Friday evening and depart Sunday morning. Please see the attached maps: the entrance to the Scout Camp is labeled with a gate and is in a private area away from all other camp sites. The camp is very large. The Water Fall trail is on the outer boundaries of the camp and then the camp goes up and over quite a way.

Tent/Trailer: In an effort to build outdoor skills we strongly encourage your scout to pitch and sleep in a tent (to be provided by the scout). With that being said, the scout campsite at Wellington Lake is large enough to accommodate trailers/campers if that is a requirement for the scout’s family.

Activities: We will be fishing, hiking and participating in pack activities. Please bring your own fishing gear and review the fishing regulations found on the lake’s website listed above.

Weather: Who knows…. This is Colorado!!! Please prepare for rain, snow, windy, and/or sunny conditions. In addition, the ground could be covered in snow or muddy. Please bring appropriate footwear and clothing to keep your scout, family and yourself warm and happy. We will try to provide more accurate conditions closer to the camp date. Remember we are making memories and this will be a fun trip regardless of weather!!

Meals: Most of the meals will be provided by the Pack for the scouts and their families. Please review the menu below. Families are encouraged to bring additional food, snacks, drinks, etc. to accommodate their family’s preference and needs.

Drinks provided: water, lemonade, hot cocoa, milk

Friday Night:

Dinner: On your own

Saturday:

Breakfast: Pancakes, eggs, bacon, fruit

Lunch: Ham and turkey sandwiches, chips, fruit

Dinner: Hamburgers, turkey burgers, veggie burgers and hot dogs, potato salad, beans, veggies, fruit, cookies
