October Pack Meeting- October 24thAt our October Pack Meeting, we will celebrate the achievements of our new scouts with the Bobcat Ceremony. These new scouts have been busy learning the scout oath, law, sign, handshake, and motto. Please join us in celebrating them in a symbolic ceremony. After this ceremony, we will have our annual carved pumpkin contest! Please bring an already decorated and/or carved pumpkin to the meeting! (no guns or weapons in your decorations, please). Judging categories will be scariest, most creative & most amusing. We will also have a category for siblings.

Scouts are welcome to wear costumes instead of their Class A uniforms for this meeting, unless they are taking part in the Bobcat ceremony, where the uniform is required.

*We need your help! The Holiday Parade is coming up soon, and to be ready, we need your ideas. Please come to the pack meeting with ideas for our float. The theme this year is Christmas past & present.

2017 Conifer Holiday Parade

Mark your calendars, the 2017 Conifer Holiday Parade is around the corner. December 2nd. Last year we rose to the challenge with a Rocky Mountain Christmas theme, this year we need help with a theme for a Christmas Past & Present. If you are interested in helping organize the scout’s involvement in the event, please let a leader know.

December Pack MeetingAs in years past, our December Pack Meeting will take place at Elk Run Senior Center in Evergreen where we traditionally call BINGO for their residents. This is always a fun event and the residents love it! More details to come. Volunteer Opportunities

There are always areas for you to volunteer to keep the pack running smoothly. Right now we have two openings:

Webmaster-They would be in charge of maintaining our pack website. If this interests you, please let one of our leaders know.

Holiday committee-This team will be in charge of leading and making decisions for holiday events, including the trunk or treat and holiday parade.

If interested, please let someone on our leadership team know.

Youth Protection Training

We take our scouts’ safety seriously. True youth protection can be achieved only through the focused commitment of everyone in Scouting. It is the mission of Youth Protection volunteers and professionals to work within the Boy Scouts of America to maintain a culture of Youth Protection awareness and safety at the national, regional, area, council, district, and unit levels.

More information and links to this training are located HERE.

Class A Uniforms

Remember that your Scouts can wear their Class A uniforms to school on days when they will be meeting as a Den or a Pack. This helps show pride in the Scouting organization, and helps other kids gain interest. Please be sure your Scout wears his uniform properly. This means the shirt should be clean, ironed and tucked in. To help them understand why this is important, perhaps you can draw an analogy of what their thoughts might be if .they were to see a police officer with his/her uniform shirt untucked. Or a business man (perhaps even their dad) going to a business meeting with his dress shirt untucked. Encourage them to proudly wear their Scout uniform and positively represent our Pack!

Class B Uniforms & Pack 39 Patches

Class B shirts will be available at Pack Meetings for $15 each. We have an assortment of kids and adult sizes. In addition, we have exclusive "Pack 39" patches for $3 each. Please see a Den Leader or our Treasurer at the next Pack meeting if you'd like to purchase any of these items.
