Den Meetings Tomorrow! The first den meetings are finally here! The Tiger through Webelo meetings will be held tomorrow night at the Aspen Ridge Church at 6:30 PM! I know the leaders and the boys are incredibly excited to get to work on this year’s adventures! The first meeting is typically FILLED with information and activities so please do all you can to be there on time! Popcorn, Popcorn and more Popcorn!

We’re one week out of the pack meeting and we already have 85 of the 98 slots filled for “Show and Sells!” Outstanding job everyone! There are still 13 spots available, so take this quick minute right now and sign your Scout up! Popcorn Sign-ups Note: The BEST weekend to sell is always the 1st weekend! There is still 1 opening available! To give enough opportunities for every scout to take part in a show & sell, we ask that you only sign up for 3 spots. However, if no one claims this opening weekend slot, we will allow any scout to sign up for it after this Thursday.

Remember, not only can you sell popcorn through the “Show and Sells,” but you can do it via your popcorn sales sheet you received at the Pack meeting as well as online, and through neighborhood blitzes! If you weren’t at the pack meeting, do not worry! One or both of our Popcorn Kernel’s will be making the rounds at the den meetings tomorrow and they will have additional sell sheets.

Instructions for the 2017show & sell, selling tips, and Friday Frenzy extra prizes are attached to this email. Be sure to look at these before you start selling. Remember, that by selling popcorn and reaching the designated goal, your Pack dues will be $0.00 when re-charter comes around!

Patriot’s Day Event at Marshdale Elementary

Please dress your boys in their Class A uniform on Monday, September 11th if your son attends Marshdale. The boys will be participating in a flag ceremony in honor of 9/11.

RidgeFest

We will once again be represented at the 5th Annual “RidgeFest” at the Aspen Ridge Church. This event features incredible vendors, arts and crafts, and fun for the entire family. There are hay rides, a carnival games for all ages, bounce house, food and LIVE entertainment during the event! Click here for more details!

Youth Protection TrainingWe take our scouts’ safety seriously. True youth protection can be achieved only through the focused commitment of everyone in Scouting. It is the mission of Youth Protection volunteers and professionals to work within the Boy Scouts of America to maintain a culture of Youth Protection awareness and safety at the national, regional, area, council, district, and unit levels. More information and links to this training are located HERE.

Class A Uniforms

Remember that your Scouts can wear their Class A uniforms to school on days when they will be meeting as a Den or a Pack. This helps show pride in the Scouting organization, and helps other kids gain interest. Please be sure your Scout wears his uniform properly. This means the shirt should be clean, ironed and tucked in. To help them understand why this is important, perhaps you can draw an analogy of what their thoughts might be if .they were to see a police officer with his/her uniform shirt untucked. Or a business man (perhaps even their dad) going to a business meeting with his dress shirt untucked. Encourage them to proudly wear their Scout uniform and positively represent our Pack!

Class B Uniforms & Pack 39 Patches

Class B shirts will be available at Pack Meetings for $15 each. We have an assortment of kids and adult sizes. In addition, we have exclusive "Pack 39" patches for $3 each. Please see a Den Leader or our Treasurer at the next Pack meeting if you'd like to purchase any of these items.
